GloPID - R (Global research collaboration for infectious disease preparedness) organises the webinar series :
COVID-19 Research Synergies Meetings
Virtual events – July 16, 17, 20, 21 and 23, 2020
The COVID-19 Research Synergies Meetings, a GloPID-R initiative, will take place on July 16, 17, 20 & 21, 2020. A Panel discussion will complete the series of meetings on July 23, 2020.
This virtual event will bring together key stakeholders in the research response to combat COVID-19. Participants will include GloPID-R members and the researchers funded by their COVID-19 rapid response calls, representatives from the WHO, and other major research and funding organisations alongside contributors from countries affected by second peaks, waves or high incidence.
As detailed in the concept note, the purpose of these meetings is to provide a platform to promote and establish collaboration and synergies between researchers funded by GloPID-R members. This will maximise the use of available resources, generate connections between ongoing research projects, create opportunities to share information on progress, barriers and outstanding research gaps and facilitate the progress of a collective effort to end COVID-19.
Each session will be led by two co-chairs from leading research organisations and key stakeholders from across the world. GloPID-R invites you to join the livestream on YouTube or participate through Zoom.
